I tried to pull the patch down after it came out, but couldn't get to Allakhazam at all. In the end I got it from 3dgamers or filefront or something ... it didn't even cost me anything.

Given that the patch download is the only reason I pay for the 'premium' Allakhazam, I sure as hell won't be renewing my subscription.
Still no Euro patch up
# Jan 04 2006 at 9:59 AM Rating: Decent
Still no European patch up here to download :/
Always the same. Subscription will not be renewed cos I'm sick of this, sick of the lack of service and sick of the excuses tbh. The only benefit I see now in the premium service is having the adverts turned off, which shouldn't be there popping up all over the place annoying people in the first place anyway.

EDIT: For anyone in Ireland/UK that wants the new patch, http://83.242.30.189/WoW-1.8.4.4878-to-1.9.0.4937-enGB-patch.exe <-- getting 127KB/sec downloading from that link myself now.

file not working
# Jan 04 2006 at 9:50 AM Rating: Decent
I downloaded file last night very slowly... When I went to install patch i just kept getting exception error mesasages with windows. NVM I am getting it from game now takes about 30 minutes to download on a 10mb internet connection so I guess thats so slow. my advice is stick to a 1mb connection cos anything above that seems a waste of money. I am ringing my provider now to downgrade.

8Mbit, downloaded patch from filefront in under 3 minutes... I had to wait 20 minutes in line first though, unfortunately.

Well, in defense of Allakhazam, I just tried to DL the patch from WoWCentral, and the same thing happened. Not sure why both these services are having the same problem, but now I am doing the Blizzard way on this one. What a PITA!

Saying that someone else sucks too is not a very good defense....
horrendous problems
# Jan 03 2006 at 7:28 PM Rating: Decent
This is the first time I've hit problems downloading a patch from Allakhazam, but this time it's horrendous. It takes minutes to begin and quits early with a max of 13 megs downloaded.
you can download from here

Problems here too. It was the whole reason I signed up for the "Premium" services, because I have multiple machines, and it seemed easier to be able to download without waiting in line. Now I cannot even get to the file.

I cant get 13Mb of the file downloaded even, it just times out.

Similar error:

Steps Taken:
Start download of a 78meg file, received 'complete' notificiation, but never get more then ~13meg.

Error's with the Exe, quite understandable, since it is not a full download.

Member for ~ 9 months, love the service. Major help thru 2 system over hauls. Keep up the good work

The reason you all are getting an error when running the patch is because you don;t have the complete patch. The download is aborting prematurely and leaving you with a partial file. Been happening since they put the file up - I've tried to get it 9 times now and had it abort anywhere from 2mb to 54mbs into the download.
I ALWAYS get my patches here and this is the 1st time I've had any problem using this service. I'm sure they'll get it fixed quickly.

Seems VERY typical of what I get EACH time I have tried to use this so called Service for Premium Members. That's the whole reason I joined was to get the damn download and all I get is either their files are screwed up or a VERY PAINFUL SLOW download between 8 and 20 (I'm on a T1 at work and ComCast Highspeed at home) NO EXCUSE FOR IT. I ended up getting it off of FilePlanet and waiting in line.. faster spped than this service I paid for..

I'd like my money back!

Easy killer. I've never had a problem with this service, so this would be the first error i have had in any of the premium services. So go grab a bottle and take a nap while they fix the issue, and i'm sure by the time you wake up, all will be better.

Well.. I've been in the IT business for more than 30 years. I expect to get a service I paid for. This is 3 out of 3 times I've tries to use it and it was NOT working or much slower than if I had a dial-up line. While WAITING for this service to try and work, I did as before and waited in the FREE line at FileShack.. after a 33 minute wait, downloaded the file in 18 minutes at 90KB/Sec. I do not find the download rates I've received here (between 8 and 20KB/Sec) even close to acceptable as a service. Their advertisment for Premium Service led me to believe I would get a decent download rate. Highly disappointed.

The exe file's not working for me? The .app thing is the Mac patch, right?

Guess I'm stuck downloading from Blizzard after all...at least I didn't sleep last night, and can try to get a full night's rest now.

Same error, but I was able to get up to 45 megs or so before I got my false "complete."

Am monitoring the second attempt as we speak ...
