Guild Conquering Keeps

Internet Relations Manager Sanya Thomas posted a very juicy infobit on the Camelot Herald today. In her message she described a plan Mythic has been working on that will allow guilds, not just realms, to claim forts in the frontier.
We are currently working on a system that allows guilds to claim outposts. (Relic keeps are not outposts =)). Remember, this plan is not complete, and still being fleshed out. The first step in doing this involves accumulating Guild Bounty Points (GBP)(one GBP equals a bounty point earned by each guild member while wearing the guild tag). To claim an outpost, eight guild members must form a group. The guild master, or an officer granted the power by the guild master, as a member of said group can then claim the outpost with a slash command. Claiming the outpost will cost an as-yet-undetermined number of GBPs, and holding the outpost will cost an also as-yet-unknown number of GPBs. Once out of GPBs, the guild will release their claim on the keep. A guild may only claim one outpost at a time ? claiming a new outpost will automatically release the old one. When any player enters the region of the outpost, they will see the owning guild name along with the name of the region. BENEFITS FROM HOLDING AN OUTPOST - When a guild has claimed an outpost - all members of that guild and all allied guilds will gain certain bonuses when in PVP combat. - Each outpost has a 'difficulty' rating from 1 to 5. Those keeps in the guild's home frontier close to the home zones are the lowest difficulty (1). Those keeps deep within enemy territory are the highest difficulty (5). The low difficulty keeps will give very few bonuses. The high difficulty keeps will give the most bonuses. - Outposts can give four types of bonuses: Realm Point Bonuses, Bounty Point Bonuses, Combat Bonuses and Spell Bonuses. These bonuses only apply to PVP combat. - Keep Bonuses are applied to all members of any guild allied with the guild who owns the keep. - The Keep Bonuses are doubled when defending the keep (within the keep's name-region). - All players in the realm get a nominal bonus for each keep held in enemy territory when fighting in that territory. - Also, the guild's banner will appear in several places in the outpost, as well as on the cloaks and shields of the guards. GUILDS CAN UPGRADE THEIR OUTPOST - A guild can "step up" the number of GBP's they spend per hour to upgrade the various NPC's of their outpost. - Each outpost will have an "upgrade" level from 1 to 10. Depending on the outpost's upgrade level, the guards, archers, patrollers and keep lord will access different equipment tables that upgrade the guard's equipment (thus combat strength). This is the plan right now. Some details are not yet determined, and the things listed here may change. But we thought you?d enjoy seeing one of the many things we have in store.
