Its amazing how people will jump to all and every conclusion of what is going on.
I hate to break it to you but stupid script kiddies will always be there. As far as there motivation there is none. It look what I hacked.
First off script kiddies are not hackers. Wow you found some DDoS client on the IRC and ran it.

Firewalls can block most traffic. However a DDoS will overload your firewall and bring traffic to a halt. Hence Denial of Service.

It is quite amazing that with the number of attacks against POL and FFXI that no one has looked at edge content filtering and other applications to stop this kind of an attack.
Or even a simple configuration change on there firewalls to enable delayed binding.

Anyways just ranting becuase im at work bored.
Unfortunatly by being an Online game you have to deal with the stupidity that a world wide anonymouns network brings with it. Look there are just plain mean and evil people in life. Guess what they are online to.

Another DDOS attack. Jeez. It d/c'd me ONCE that was when i conviently went to kill Dark Spark.

So wtf? I log into POL to play earlier. Gravy. I log in tonight... my POL icons are all clicking automatially. I've 'clicked' a whole bunch of shti that I didn't click. It's making my bloody cursor jump around. >< Is this what everyone else is going through? I thought it was just a 'cannot connect' message. It seems to be an 'all your base are belong to us' type overlord-of-evil deal. I pray SE gets this fixed before, what I saw earlier when I could log in POL, everyone there goes on vacation for a widdle holiday-woliday.
