Sword Coast Legends Delays PC & Console Launches

The devs are using player feedback from head start weekends to improve the game.

This morning, n-Space and Digital Extremes announced that their upcoming Dungeons & Dragons RPG Sword Coast Legends will have its launch delayed again for both PC and consoles. The PC, Mac, and Linux launch is now slated for October 20, 2015, while the console schedule has been shifted to Q1 2016.

The game recently held a Head Start program on Steam for players who had pre-ordered copies. As a result, the developers are taking player feedback from that event and will be utilizing it to improve and polish the game more prior to its launch.

As a thank you, all players who pre-order Sword Coast Legends will receive the Rage of Demons DLC for free. Additionally, access to any more Head Start programs will be included with pre-orders.

"When we set out to create Sword Coast Legends we wanted to give players an exciting new way to experience the magic of playing D&D with friends," commented Dan Tudge, President of n-Space and Director for Sword Coast Legends. "The decision to delay the launch of Sword Coast Legends was not an easy one to make, but after receiving feedback from our dedicated community, it became clear that a few more weeks of polish would provide our customers with the best possible experience at launch."

You can pre-order Sword Coast Legends on Steam or the PlayStation Store for $34.99 now. There are also Deluxe and Collector's Editions available which include various other goodies. Hop over to the SCL community forums to give your feedback on the new launch dates.

Too bad really. I mean I understand, but I me and my friends were going to give it a shot at release together (booked a weekend), but with this we will just skip it. Just lost the hype and as someone who wasn't super excited and has been waiting for a long time that is enough to just forget about it. Hope they do well though!
