Assassin's Creed: Identity - Mobile AC?

With three recent releases, Ubisoft clearly wants you to be an assassin on-the-go.

In the last two months, Ubisoft has made a push to bring Assassin's Creed to mobile, free-to-play.

In August, this took form as the misguided Assassin's Creed: Memories, a "multi-faceted experience blending card battle, RPG, and strategy gameplay." That's putting it generously. In September, a ship-wrangling Assassin's Creed: Pirates was released – and it doesn't look half-bad! Here in October, we've got Assassin's Creed: Identity on iOS and Android.

Pick from three classes, each with three distinct abilities. Choose your name and select one of six faces. Complete missions for XP and coins. Compared to the other two titles, it's a "proper" AC game: you run around and complete your bloody objectives. It has the right aesthetic, controls seem okay, and there's even climbing (on designated routes).

While I'm not sure many people will latch on, fans of the franchise could enjoy a new AC experience – however rough it may be. It's free, so there's little harm in giving it a shot!
