Follow Handsome Jack's rise to power in the latest Borderlands installment, now available to pre-purchase.
Have you been asking yourself what could be better than a four-player, first-person co-op game that gives you access to thousands of weapons, and a loot-filled planet filled with enemies and bosses ripe for the picking? The answer is to take all of that, then put it on the moon.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is the third game in the series, with its story taking place between the first and second titles. This time around, the team over Gearbox Software is telling you the story of how the infamous villain, Handsome Jack, rose to power as you play the part of any of his four henchmen: Athena, Wilhelm, Nisha or the ever-lovable Claptrap. Those looking to pre-purchase the game can do so from the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Steam page. If you already own the original Borderlands or Borderlands 2, you'll receive 10% off pre-purchases made between August 20th through August 25th.
Pre-purchasing the game gets you the bonus content, Shock Drop Slaughter Pit. This content takes place at the Dahl facility where players will be faced with some of the moon's toughest enemies and its most epic loot. If you're new to Borderlands however and aren't sure if you should pre-purchase The Pre-Sequel just yet, Borderlands 2 will be free to play this upcoming weekend through Steam for players to jump in and try out.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will launch in North America on October 14th, and internationally on October 17th, for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. As always, for more gaming news, updates and information, keep it locked to ZAM.
