Servers will be coming down very early tomorrow morning for a game update:

All EverQuest Live Servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 4:00 am US Pacific*. The servers are estimated to be unavailable for approximately 4 hours.

While there is currently no mention of it anywhere on EverQuest's official site, the "Heart of Fear" extension to the Rain of Fear expansion is expected to go live tomorrow; this, according to their initial release date announcement, their Facebook page, and Thom Terrazas' Twitter account.
