GoD Factory: Wingmen

Space MOBA flight-sim on the Oculus Rift. That's a sentence full of awesome.

Two of the hottest things in gaming right now are MOBAs and the Oculus Rift. When you take those two things and whip in a spicy dash of sci-fi space combat, it's hard not to get a tad excited.

To the point of twitching.

Nine Dots Studio explained why it wanted to put its game on the Oculus Rift--as if it needed to--in a press release today:

“GoD Factory: Wingmen is a great fit for virtual reality,” states lead developer Guillaume Boucher-Vidal.  “ We’ve been waiting for this kind of technology for twenty years and we’ll get it very soon!  We hope that we’ll be among the first games to support the Rift.”

GoD Factory: Wingmen is a 4vs4 MOBA where you can customize your character and ship loadout before embarking on a mission to blow up an enemy Carrier by destroying key areas on the opponents' main ship.

The game is currently on Kickstarter and on Steam Greenlight, both avenues are available to express your support and overcome that initial danger of cracking your monitor by throwing loose change at it.

Here's the announcement trailer. Just because.
