Gabe Newell Joins AIAS Hall of Fame

Well deserved, says everyone ever.

Gabe Newell is a developer and managing director for Valve that needs very little introduction. He's an infamous face, from creating the brilliant Half-Life series, to also developing and/or creating Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike, and (of course) Portal, as well as launching the Steam platform for PCs.

It's kind of a marvel he hasn't been inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame before this point, but at last, he is. He will join names such as Shigeru Miyamoto, Mike Morahime, the Good Doctors Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka, Will Wright, Sid Meier, Hironobu Sakaguchi, and John Carmack

Also, he looks great with a grey beard. Very distinguished for his long-deserved Hall of Fame title.

Congrats Gabe on developing nothing I have ever liked, purchased, or installed. I salute you for bringing the PC community further and further from my interest.

I enjoy reading your exploits of encouraging most everyone to install your DRM because it has achievements, friends lists, and is the "lesser evil" of all DRMs. Anyone critical of said DRM is attacked by fanatic, and UNPAID, loyal followers. I don't know how you manage it.

You are quite obvious a better businessman than I, and should run for President.
