After what felt like an endless stream of back-and-forth victories and losses, USA favorite Team Solo Mid finally triumphed over longtime rival Counter-Logic Gaming to win the $20,000 pot and MLG Pro Circut Trophy. After losing to Dignitas early, CLG resurged through the loser's bracket. TSM, meanwhile, beat Dignitas in the semifinals. CLG managed to squeeze a 2-1 victory in the grand finals, starting the loser's second chance games, which again went 1-1 and left only one final match deciding the winner. TSM managed to lock down an early kill against xHazzard's Nidalee, and starved CLG's farm while quickly taking dragon at every opportunity. A surprise Baron steal from HotshotGG couldn't hold the tide of TSM's gold advantage, and they finally came out on top after an exhausting, drawn-out set of teamfights.
