Camelot coming to Europe

Mythic Entertainment (www.mythicentertainment.com), creator of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game MMORPG), Dark Age of CamelotÔ, has announced a publishing and online partnership with GOA and Wanadoo Edition. Wanadoo Edition will distribute the game and GOA will establish localized servers and support throughout France, the U.K., and Germany. Dark Age of Camelot is developed by Mythic Entertainment and co-published by Abandon Entertainment (www.abandonent.com), and will be distributed in the U.S. in October 2001. GOA has already achieved great success in France and is considered the leading online games site in that country with over one million members. Dark Age of Camelot represents GOA’s and Wanadoo’s latest commitment to massively multiplayer online games. By obtaining the rights to this next generation game able to host thousands of simultaneous players, Dark Age of Camelot represents the next step in Wanadoo’s and GOA’s plans to offer a higher level of gaming throughout Europe. Dark Age of Camelot will be Beta-tested in Europe this fall, and will be commercially launched in January 2002 with a monthly subscription fee. Online hosting and community management will be handled by GOA’s teams, already known for their work on The Fourth Prophecy, the first French language massively multiplayer RPG. Dark Age of Camelot will be translated, and customer support as well as community management will be handled in the player’s native language to ensure the best support and quality of service.
