Q&A with UK Community Manager Chris "Aegir" Cunningham

Q: What is your favorite aspect of the Gods & Heroes Community?

The first thing that really stood out to me is the passion that the players bring when they’re talking about the game to each other. Coupled with an “all for one and one for all” attitude, the Gods & Heroes Community felt friendly, open and welcoming to someone like me viewing it for the first time. As a result there’s a lot more respect shown towards everyone in the community and to our team.

Q: What is your biggest challenge working with the Gods & Heroes Community?

The biggest challenge will always be ensuring that we reach out to everyone playing so that they can find all the news and information about the game. Although some players are experienced with using our game forums or following us on our Social Media sources, the key will be reaching out to community members that aren’t as experienced as other MMO gamers. One of the roles I will most be looking forward to is working with our EU team over the coming months to grow the EU community into a behemoth to rival Rome itself!

Q: Will you host live events on EU time zones?

Yes! I have been working with Donna “Danicia” Prior to revise and improve our plans for live events for the community as a whole, yet I personally will be looking forward to hosting events for my fellow EU citizens!

Q: How do you plan on supporting the EU community alongside the US community?

One of the things I will be ensuring is that when we have important information from the team about the game that it is translated for our non-English speaking community members here in Europe and released at the same time as the main article. Along with this, I will be working during EU times (approx. 9am – 5pm GMT) so that the EU community know there is someone always available for them to talk with. During those hours you will always find me hanging out on our IRC channel, yet you can always message me on the forums or tweet me too!

Q: Will there be special contests for EU players?

Contests specifically for our EU community are something that we’re very much considering behind the scenes yet I won’t go into exact details at this time. As soon as we have something more to say about EU contests I will make sure that you all know straight away
