SW:TOR World Designer Discusses Flashpoints

BioWare recently gave Star Wars: The Old Republic fans a look at Flashpoints, which are instanced adventures for a group of characters. As a follow-up, World Designer Jesse Sky has written a lengthy blog entry that takes readers through the process of designing Flashpoints for the game.

In addition to the behind-the-scenes look at the making of Flashpoints, Lead Combat Designer Georg Zoeller explains in-depth how enemies play a big role in the instances. He says that Flashpoints "feature some of the toughest combat challenges in the game," so expect to encounter some memorable fights.

Sky emphasizes that Flashpoints are about character development. "At the end of a Flashpoint, you’ll have more than just shiny new items – you’ll have developed your character," Sky said. Check out the entire entry for all the details.
