Aion Update 2.1 Part 2 is now live and brings with it a wealth of crafting changes. The patch includes more than 300 new craft designs and increases the drop rates for item designs and gathering materials. All the details can be found in the patch notes, or you can just check out the highlights:

Reduced the quantities of materials needed to make 593 Elyos and 593 Asmodian kinds of crafted weapons, armor, and accessories of level 45-55.

Increased the drop rates of crafting materials, including Balic materials dropped by the Balaur.

Increased the chance of gathering rarer/more powerful materials from specific resource nodes.

Added a new Fortune Pet, the Headstrong Poroco, and added new rewards to Fortune pets.

Balaur now take over Kysis Fortress in the Abyss during normal siege times.

Today also marks the launch of Atreia's Artisan Expo event, which runs through Feb. 2. During the event, players can take advantage of accelerated crafting, essencetapping and aethertapping.
