NCsoft has announced that the rifting trial period in Aion will be extended a few more weeks. Back in December it was announced that rifting would be adjusted to focus on the protection for defenders in their homelands. The protection for defenders in Heiron and Beluslan was removed. The protection of defenders in Morheim and Eltnen was kept in place, but lowered.

Players were surveyed at the intended end of the trial. The results were these:

• The majority of players agreed with having a change to the large protective buffs put in place for rifting. 
• The majority of players agreed with having the protections in Heiron and Belusian removed. 
• The majority of players told Aion that though they liked the lowering of the protective buff in Morheim and Eltnen, they felt the protective buff should be slightly increased

As a result of these finding the trial period is being extended for a few more weeks. Players will be asked to fill out another survey near the end of the trial at which point Aion will go over all the details and make final adjustments. For more information check out the official post over at Aion.
