Black Prophecy's Newest Community Update

With the recent lift on Black Prophecy's closed beta NDA, more and more information is coming out about the upcoming MMO. The game is still in closed beta, but leaps and bounds are being made according to the newest community update. While developers are in no rush to push the game into open beta, updates will be coming available and more tweaking is constantly in the works.

For any fans who have been asking how they can help, the answer is simple: play. BP is urging fans who have gotten into the closed beta to keep playing and reporting back in the forums.

Check out the full update after the jump.

First of all we would like to wish you a happy new year and hope that you all made it well into 2011.

With the dawn of the new year, we’ve taken another step closer towards the long-anticipated release of Black Prophecy. While the Non-Disclosure-Agreement, which forbade talking about the beta publicly, has been lifted, preparations for the open beta testing phase have been in full swing. However, as stated previously, we are not going to rush things and will start open beta testing when we deem the game ready for it.

While the majority of the development team is busy fine-tuning several aspects of Black Prophecy’s gameplay and also preparing new content for upcoming game updates, the network coders are still fully focused on improving the server performance. Some of you may have asked how you can contribute to the overall progress in addition to the usual bug reporting in the beta forum; the answer is simple: play, play, and play again! The more often you play the more log files will be available for the devs to help them investigate any remaining issues.

For all of you who have not yet been invited to beta testing, we have prepared some more screenshots that will be released very soon. We also have a nifty special surprise in the works for January that will give you a more in-depth view into Black Prophecy’s development. We will also keep inviting more people to the closed beta.

That’s it for the moment. Thanks for taking the time to read and stay tuned for more information!
