The Hunter is a class that suffers being unable to excel at any one role. As a ranged class, they suffer significant disadvantages against other archers and casters (lack of range/dmg). In melee combat, the Hunter class does not deal enough damage to compensate for its weaker Evade and defensive style penalties. Despite the pet, there is no single area a Hunter excels in for RvR, leaving it as a generally undesired class.
