"Ask Kinslon" Interview 2 - With 1.9 release info!

In this week's "Ask Kinslon" Interview, we get information on two-handed Armsfusion, Mist Weapon Rentals and... release info on patch 1.9!

Ahhh another week, another interview from the Aion Team!

Or is it!?

As it turns out, in this week's "Ask Kinslon" Interview, fans across the world simultaneously breathed a sigh of relief as Producer Chris "Kinslon" Hager finally nailed the long awaited patch 1.9 to a release month... May! Yes, that's right Daevas, patch 1.9 is now set to come out next month, so get your gear ready!

In addition to revealing the release month of patch 1.9, Kinslon also chatted briefly about Mist rental items (and gave some item information!) and the new Two-Handed Armsfusion system coming with 1.9. Specifically, Kinslon notes that Mist items will be of heroic (blue) level, and they're intended for players to who plan on "powering through a weekend or instance instead of completeing several daily quests to get the higher stat weapons or paying potentially a lot more for a weapon they would shortly outgrow." It seems as though the Aion Team has noticed how inflated the market has become for good quality low-level weapons, and they are looking to nip that right in the bud with these rental weapons with fixed prices.

As well, for the two-handed Armsfusion system, Kinslon notes that the base weapon will essentially eat up the secondary weapon - that is, 20% of the secondary weapons basic attack power and magic boost will be added to the main weapon, in addition to any weapon options that the main weapon doesn't have (or, if the secondary weapon has, for example, higher +attack speed, then the final item will use the highest value of the two). As well, all manastones and manastone slots will be transferred to the "main" weapon, and players will be able to choose which weapon they socket which manastones into, thereby allowing them to put the more expensive stones into the main weapon so that they don't lose them if they find a better secondary weapon. That might be a bit confusing, so I'd advise you to check out the Ask Kinslon interview to really get a feel for it. Either way, patch 1.9 here we come!
