SoBig Worm and Us

SoBig Worm news from the Camelot Herald:
That worm spreading love and joy throughout the internet has certainly been a hoot, hasn't it. Not. Here's how it may affect you and Mythic: Fake email from us. You may have gotten virus email from what appears to be me, Scott Jennings, or even our support department. Don't panic - it's not from us. Remember, this virus and many others has a "spoof" component - email addressed are gathered from infected mailboxes and internet cache pages. Since a whole lot of people and web pages have our addresses listed, we're a common spoof. For more information, check out this article from the Washington Post.
No response to your email to Technical Support and Billing. We're seeing a whole lot of bouncebacks - we'll send a customer a response to their email, and get it back with a message that your mailbox is full. Many of you use "freemail" services with a limit on how much space you can take up on their server. SoBig carries with it file attachments that can be really gigantic, filling up your mailbox in minutes. We will keep sending the messages until it doesn't bounce back, fear not. Please help us out and empty your boxes. Delayed email. This virus is clogging the networks across the world pretty badly, with the insane amount of traffic and file sizes. In addition to slow networks, we're getting a lot of email, too. So our usual email response time might be a little delayed. We appreciate your patience. So there you have it. Run a recently updated virus remover program to make sure you're not adding to the problem (I run mine several times a day, due to volume of mail I get), don't open emails with attachments you were not expecting, and hunker down to wait this out. I hope this information helps.
