NA Aion Producer shares Korea's 1.9 Patch Notes

Chris "Kinslon" Hager translates Korea's Aion 1.9 patch notes in what he hopes to be more company transparency

In an effort to stay in contact with their North American community, North American Aion Producer Chris "Kinslon" Hager and his team have translated Korea's Aion 1.9 patch for the masses. Hilariously enough, in a recent interview with TenTonHammer, Chris notes the North American Aion team translated the patch notes partially to get in touch with their community, but also because players tend to find the Korean patch notes anyways, where they will quickly run them through oddball translation devices like Google Translator in an attempt to glean any new information. Often times this information can be misconstrued by players, or the North American team can change it for localization purposes, so Chris says that this is a great opportunity to talk to the community while also avoiding a potential communication problem

A lot of times Korea will post it, and because the build won't come to us for several months after, we don't talk about the patch. So then it goes through a poorly translated Google document, and then it gets posted on all of our forums and our websites. Then the community's rife with speculation on what's true and what isn't, and they don't hear a peep out of us.

Of course, with these translated patch notes also comes Kinslon's mandatory "no promises from us" statement, noting that there could be no promises as to when 1.9 will hit North American servers, although he does promise that the team is working hard to bring it over.

Hey, at least it's something!
