In Aion's latest "Eye on the Community" Update, Tamat gave Aion fans a little something extra...

Just recently, Aion's producer for NCsoft West, Chris "Kinslon" Hager, spoke to the community about Aion's coming update which he, disappointingly, predicted to hit players sometime around Q2 2010. The focus of his written report to the community, however, was to establish the fact that NCsoft has been withholding information on upcoming Aion updates because, quite simply, they didn't want to get anybody's hopes up with false promises. Of course, many fans feel that even misleading information may be better than no information, and NCsoft's Western Community Manager, Tamat, also seems to agree!

In this week's Eye on the Community, Tamat very cleverly embedded an ultra-super-secret message into his Eye on the Community address. Astute individuals noted that when you added up these letters, they read "Find the Secret Link." After a minor amount of searching (OK, it's really just a matter of looking for the out-of-the-ordinary text, like the fact that The "Aion Community Team" has been enlarged and it links to somewhere...), players were thrilled to discover a super-secret meeting itinerary, outlining NCsoft's latest plans for Aion and demonstrating the fact that the team is, in fact, meeting to finalize their plans for the upcoming Aion update. In particular, the itinerary notes that NCsoft is working on daily quests for levels 50 and below, new abilities for classes, a stun attack defence system, two-handed weapon transformations and an increase in Dark Poeta drop rates. While there are no specific dates set for the release of Aion's v1.9 patch, it's these little tidbits of information that will certainly help tide over many Aion fans until the next update. Way to be a ninja, Tamat!
