According to the team behind Zodiac Online, a free-to-play MMORPG centered on the Chinese Zodiac system, from December 31st to January 10th, 2010, players can update their client to the "New Year Hot Strike" version to enjoy their holiday festivities.

In particular, the team has added in something called the "Eggbeaters," wherein players over level 20 will receive a Christmas Gift Bag every day. Within these bags are golden or silver eggs, and players may find cash shop items or golden or silver dust that can be exchanged for several different rewards. As well, players can also search for the elusive Ancient Beast during specific event periods to receive more Silver Eggs.

Finally, the team is also introducing the "Snowy Lake," a new instance that contains five chilly bosses where players can fight to get "Golden Stones," one-time use items which can transform Silver Eggs into Golden ones.

While it seems like the team behind Zodiac Online is a little bit confused about the holiday icons (eggs in New Years?), at least their heart is in the right place, so enjoy the New Years Events!
