Was the new Summoner ability always set as lvl 55? I thought a Summoner had it soon as they got the avatar.

In the long run, the spam filter will only work if you can update the list of words you don't want to see. Otherwise, the spammers will just start misspelling things all sorts of ways the way email spammers do. The only reason email spam has a hard time getting past filters after a while is because people keep blocking the things that DO get through.

It's probably best if each player was to keep their own blacklist of offensive words.

I've worked on e-mail systems for over 10 years and I will say SE can manage server side rules far better than any player could. People may not understand that a majority e-mail spam is never even accepted for delivery in the first place, and that has nothing to do with a filter. In working this way for instance SE could simply make it so a free trial player tells are always automatically added to that list, or that there is a level of trust based on how often the player sends tells, or maybe they can just create regular expressions to match anything with gil, buy, or .com. No offense.. but I would MUCH rather have it in their hands instead of trying to update my own list every time I get a tell.

BTW.. Imagine how pissed the guy who runs Brogame is right now. Ohh can you smell that.. that's karma baby!

I guess it really depends on how on the ball they are. Here's hoping.
Yay to spam block, boo to ranger enmity cancellation

Probably the coolest part of this is the spam blocking, too bad it will take all of 3 minutes for spammers to find ways around the filters. I hope they keep adjusting and updating the definitions.

Arrrrrgh, I was really looking forward to the enmity reduction for Rangers, guess I'll have to make do.
