Tier 10 Set Bonuses Released on PTR

UPDATE: Based on player feedback, Blizzard has made a number of changes to the DPS set bonuses. You can view the updated bonuses after the jump. There's also been changes to the priest and paladin healing sets.

According to blue posts by Bornakk and Nethaera, the Tier 10 set bonuses have recently been released on the PTR and Blizzard wants your feedback. "The items will soon be available on the PTR for additional testing, but we welcome your initial impressions and theory crafting thoughts as well," Nethaera said.

You'll find the two- and four-piece set bonuses for healers, tanks and DPS after the jump. What are your impressions? Remember, none of the bonuses are set in stone and could change during the testing process.


Healing roles

Druid


  • 2 piece bonus - The healing granted by your Wild Growth spell reduces 0% less over time.
  • 4 piece bonus - Each time your Rejuvenation spell heals a target, it has a 2% chance to jump to a new target at full duration.

 

Paladin


  • 2 piece bonus - While your Divine Illumination talent is active, your healing spells are increased by 35%.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Holy Shock spell causes the next Holy Light you cast within 10 sec to have 0.3 sec reduced cast time.



Priest


  • 2 piece bonus - Your Flash Heal critical strikes cause the target to heal for 25% of the healed amount over 9 sec.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Circle of Healing and Penance spells have a 20% chance to cause your next Flash Heal cast within 6 sec to reset the cooldown on your Circle of Healing and Penance spells.



Shaman


  • 2 piece bonus - Your Riptide spell grants 20% spell haste for your next spellcast.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Chain Heal critical strikes cause the target to heal for 25% of the healed amount over until canceled.

 

Tanking roles

Death Knight


  • 2 piece bonus - Increases the damage done by your Death and Decay ability by 20%.
  • 4 piece bonus - When you activate Blood Tap, you gain 12% damage reduction from all attacks for 10 seconds.


Druid


  • 2 piece bonus - Your Swipe (Bear) and Lacerate abilities deal 20% additional damage and the cost of your Rip ability is reduced by 10 energy.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Enrage ability no longer decreases your armor and instead decreases all damage taken by 12%, and the periodic damage done by your Rake ability can now be a critical strike.


Paladin


  • 2 piece bonus - Your Hammer of the Righteous ability deals 20% increased damage.
  • 4 piece bonus - When you activate Divine Plea, you gain 12% dodge for 10 seconds.


Warrior


  • 2 piece bonus - Your Shield Slam and Shockwave abilities deal 20% increased damage.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Bloodrage ability no longer costs health to use, and now causes you to absorb damage equal to 20% of your maximum health. Lasts until canceled.

 

DPS roles

Death Knight

  • 2 piece bonus - Your Obliterate and Scourge Strike abilities deal 10% increased damage., and your Heart Strike ability deals 7% increased damage.
  • 4 piece bonus - Whenever all your runes are on cooldown, you gain 3% increased damage done with weapons, spells, and abilities for the next 15 second.


Druid - Balance
  • 2 piece bonus - When you gain Clearcasting from your Omen of Clarity talent, you deal 15% additional Nature and Arcane damage for 6 seconds.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your critical strikes from Starfire and Wrath cause the target languish for an additional 5% of your spell's damage over 4 seconds.


Druid - Feral
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Swipe (Bear) and Lacerate abilities deal 20% additional damage and the cost of your Rip ability is reduced by 10 energy.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Enrage ability no longer decreases your armor and instead decreases all damage taken by 12%, and the periodic damage done by your Rake ability can now be a critical strike.


Hunter
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Auto Shots have a 5% chance to cause you and your pet to deal 15% additional damage for until cancelled.
  • 4 piece bonus - When your Viper Sting, Serpent Sting, and Wyvern Sting abilities deal damage, you have a 5% chance to gain 20% attack power for 10 seconds.


Mage
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Hot Streak, Missile Barrage, and Brain Freeze talents also grant you 12% haste for 5 seconds when the effect of the talent is consumed.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Mirror Image ability also causes you to deal 18% additional damage for 30 seconds.


Paladin
  • 2 piece bonus - Your melee attacks have a 40% chance to reset the cooldown on your Divine Storm ability.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Seals and Judgements deal 10% additional damage.


Priest
  • 2 piece bonus - The critical strike chance of your Shadow Word: Pain, Devouring Plague, and Vampiric Touch spells is increased by 5%.
  • 4 piece bonus - Reduces the channel duration and period of your Mind Flay spell by 0.5 seconds.


Rogue
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Tricks of the Trade ability now grants you 15 energy instead of costing energy.
  • 4 piece bonus - Gives your melee finishing moves a 13% chance to add 3 combo points to your target.


Shaman – Elemental
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Lightning Bolt spell reduces the remaining cooldown on your Elemental Mastery talent by 1 second.
  • 4 piece bonus - The cooldown on your Lava Burst ability is reduced by 1.5 seconds.


Shaman – Enhancement
  • 2 piece bonus - When you activate your Shamanistic Rage ability you also deal 12% additional damage for 15 second.
  • 4 piece bonus - Each time the beneficial effect of your Maelstrom Weapon talent reaches 5 charges, you have a 15% chance to gain 20% attack power for 10 second.


Warlock
  • 2 piece bonus - The critical strike chance of your Shadowbolt, Incinerate, Soulfire, and Corruption spells is increased by 5%.
  • 4 piece bonus - Each time your Immolate and Unstable Affliction spells deal periodic damage, you have a 15% chance to gain 10% damage done by you and your pet for 10 seconds.


Warrior
  • 2 piece bonus - When your Deep Wounds ability deals damage you have a 3% chance to gain 20% attack power for 10 seconds.
  • 4 piece bonus - You have a 30% chance for your Bloodsurge and Sudden Death talents to grant 2 charges of their effect instead of 1, reduce the global cooldown on Execute or Slam by 0.5 seconds, and for the duration of the effect to be increased by 100%.

yeah rogues got screwed the 3 point bonus is meh at best i mean 13% chance? come the f*&k on and 15 energy from ToT? most of the time you use that at the start of the fight and your full anyway. absolute Bull$&^^ yeah lets give the huntards more power because there not quite overpowered enough yet

has anyone else noticed that the hunter 2 piece set says "Your Auto Shots have a 5% chance to cause you and your pet to deal 15% additional damage for until cancelled"
i would guess they just haven't figured out how long for yet...would hope so at least >.>

At least for arcane mages, the increase in the time for the bonus haste on the (now) 2pc bonus makes this great. With the recent changes to how our proc works, we're virtually guaranteed to hit this around every 10 seconds, meaning it should have ~50% up time.

The MI is a bit more subtle. +18% damage for 30s on a 3 min cooldown gives 3% more damage. That's ok. But... with proper stacking of cooldowns, this should result in a larger (perhaps much larger) increase. It also requires that you handle threat well enough to use MI only when you want the damage buff. Nice skill dependence all around on that one.

Both priest sets could be fantastic...

Reset on Penance cooldown? (Penance-Flash-Flash-Penance-Flash-Penance-wheee...)

And, make Mind Flay do the same amount of damage in half the time? I'm already throwing two of those into my cycle while I wait on other cooldowns - this'll essentially double the damage for that period. DoT-DoT-DoT-(5/6 Mind Flays)-DoT.... I guess they got tired of us being mana batteries and decided to give us something to do with it. ;)

It does seem like a largely useless set bonus, especially when compared to some of the sweet stuff that other classes are getting. I guess they're wanting rogues to use it more often for its brief damage boost, but I'd much rather have some sort of +%damage bonus rather than what amounts to a cut-rate on-use trinket. It probably won't change, either, given the track record of rogue changes.
