Patch 1.9 Launches Today as Preview of Chapter II

Patch 1.9, Naga's Awakening, launched today in Runes of Magic. The update gives players a preview of the upcoming Elven Prophecy expansion by adding the new Weeping Coast region and increasing the level cap to 52. In addition, the patch includes the new high-end underwater "Heart of the Ocean" instance and adds more than 200 new quests. You can read the full patch notes after the jump.

Chapter II: The Elven Prophecy will be released on Sept. 15. The expansion will introduce elves as a playable race, add two new character classes, raise the level cap to 55, integrate a new pet system, and include a completely new soundtrack.

New Content

Weeping Coast is now accessible for players with Patch 1.9 (ver. 1863)
The level cap is raised to level 52
The high end instance "Heart of the Ocean" is available for players with level 52.
This instance delivers players a new challenge until Chapter II: The Elven Prophecy finally arrives.
New crafting materials up to level 51 can be gathered in the new region.
A new Public Encounter is available in Varanas
Up to 150 players are needed to master the dangers of the dreamworld of Julius Lifay and to stop the Demon Lord spreading his influence.
Level 50 Elite Weapon Quest Part 2 is now accessible to players.
Players / characters can now be added to the house friends list.
It is now possible to set permissions so other characters can access house storage / trunks.
Priest: 2 new resurrection spells were added.
Level 20 resurrection spell lowers the death penalty by 45%.
The prerequisite is that the character owns the "Amulet of Light" that can be looted from elite monsters or can be created by Lv. 12+ alchemists.
Level 30 resurrection spell lowers the death penalty by 75%.
Prerequisite: Ownership of the "Golden Amulet" (available through the Item Shop) - will be added on 26 August 2009.
New furniture for houses and guilds.
"Trophies" from monsters can now be displayed in your house.

Changes
Reworking on the guild construction interface.
"Dragon Mallow" and "Abyss-Mercury" can now be harvested from the Weeping Coast.
The transformation potion "Hammertooth Sage" has been adjusted like this:
Cannot be used under water.
The transformation will vanish as soon as the character touches the water surface.
The transformation will now last during zoning.

Skill changes
Priest
New elite skill "Return", which disbands summoned fairies, if you don’t need them anymore.

Bugfixes
Lv 50 recipes: The amounts of required materials has been changed.
The “magical circle“ effect of the “Fire Fairy“ was fixed.
A bug was fixed, which stopped players from accessing "Malatinas Dungeon"
A bug that caused an energy recharge while players where under the effect of a poison was fixed.
Some furniture TP/EP bonus was not properly calculated. This is fixed now.
A bug was fixed, which only allowed guilds of level 9 to upgrade academies to level 3.
A display error was fixed, which occurred in the titles from "Goblin Mines".
A display error was fixed, where the transformation potion "Hammertooth Sage" showed a remaining time of 1 hour instead of 10 minutes.
An error message was removed, which occured when using the guild contribution interface.
