The 2009 Legends of Norrath championship is scheduled to be held at the Gen Con Indy gaming convention, which kick off Aug. 13 and runs through Aug. 16. The next championship qualifier will be held this weekend and begins tomorrow, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. PDT. The first and second place winners will earn $500 and $200, respectively, as well as a trip to Gen Con and the opportunity to compete for the title and their share of the $25,000 prize purse.

There's no fee to enter the championship qualifier, so there's no harm in building a deck and giving it your best shot this weekend. Even if you don't earn a trip to Gen Con, you could place in the top 16 and win a booster box or some booster packs.
