The Star Wars: The Old Republic Web site has received two new updates that continue to fill us in on the history leading up to the game's setting. The first is a new timeline holorecord by Master Gnost-Dural, the Keeper of the Jedi Archives. In his previous entry, he explained how a smuggler named Hylo Visz was able to break through a Mandalorian blockade and restore the Republic's trade route to Coruscant. In the newest entry, Gnost-Dural tells the story of a young warrior who adopted the title of Mandalore and led an army of mercenaries and bounty hunters to form that blockade and challenge the Jedi Order.

For fans of the online Web comic, the second act of the Threat of Peace series has been released. The issue takes readers "to the embattled world of Balmorra where Republic forces are receiving word that the planet has been ceded to the Sith Empire under the terms of the Treaty of Coruscant."
