I am putting on my Asbestos suit as we speak. I am sure that I will need it.
First, Druid is an interesting class filled with kool abilities, but "fun"? I suppose to those that play it and do so successfully it is very fun. To those of us who do not it simply is another class in the game. That said a druid that plays their class well (I do not mean one that spams the same 4 abilities very well) is a great benefit to a party / raid. Many of their unsung abilities can make or break a fight with new content. Innervate comes to mind along with battle rez.

IMHO - No healer should surpass the Priest in their ability to heal. This is a revisiting of the whole "play your class" debate that people have from time to time. Basically this, sure your druid can be a tank, a DPSer (is that a word?) or a healer but in the same sence that a shadow priest should not lead as DPS neither should the druid or pally lead as heal. If Hybrids can lead then you get a world where everyone plays a Death Knight or a Druid - Yeah - that sounds fun. So as I have not only seen great pally healers (in fact the best healer we have in the guild is a pally) and yeah I have seen great druid healers what is the point of playing any other class if you have Druid god mode available to anyone that chooses it.

Ghostcrawler Asks, "Is Tree of Life Form Fun?"
Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street has posed a question on the official healing forum regarding the Druid Tree of Life form. He said the dev team has been discussing lately whether the form is fun, and he wants the feedback of players. Ghostcrawler's comment explains why the team wants some input on the topic:
"We think cat and bear forms are fun. They have very clear roles and unique abilities. Tree of Life has no unique abilities. It essentially forces you to give up a portion of your class abilities in order to be as good a healer as other classes. In PvP it lets you tank a little, but again with the downside of giving away a good deal of your mobility, damage and crowd control."
While Ghostcrawler emphasizes that no huge changes are coming to the form and there's a chance they never will, it certainly seems from his comment the team is questioning the form's design. So, fellow druids, what do you think?
