BioWare and LucasArts have made it very clear the storyline is an incredibly important aspect of Star Wars: The Old Republic. The game will offer a largely unexplored era of the Star Wars universe to fans, and the teams have recently supplied two updates on the upcoming MMO's Web site to keep filling in gaps in the timeline.

The first update, appropriately enough, is a video outlining the timeline of events leading up to the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant. The video, which is comprised of illustrations, is narrated by Master Gnost-Dural, Keeper of the Jedi Archives. Gnost-Dural has been given the task of re-examining the galaxy's history, and we can expect to see more timeline reports from him in the future. Gnost-Dural is voiced by actor Lance Henriksen.

In keeping with the Coruscant information, the third issue of Threat of Peace, a Web comic published by Dark Horse Comics, has been released. The issue reveals the conclusion of the confrontation between Lord Angral and Jedi Master Orgus Din on Coruscant.
