Regarding the Next FINAL FANTASY XI Update

While the job adjustment details are still fresh on the minds of white mages across Vana'diel, Square Enix has announced the release date for the highly anticipated version update. Set to become available on April 8th, this date is also the day that the first of three mini-expansions, "A Crystalline Prophecy - Ode of Life Bestowing" is set to become playable.

Square Enix warns that due to server congestion, the contents of the expansion may take some time to show up to those who have purchased it. If you haven't purchased it yet, but plan to, don't leave it to release day!

Discuss this on the Allakhazam forums.

From PlayOnline.com:

The next version update for FINAL FANTASY XI is currently scheduled for Apr. 8, 2009.
* Maintenance details will be released at a later date.

After this version update, the contents for the add-on scenario that became available for advance purchase on Mar. 22, 2009, "A Crystalline Prophecy - Ode of Life Bestowing" (listed below as "A Crystalline Prophecy") will be playable.

Additionally, due to congestion on or around the date of the version update, it may take some time for the contents of "A Crystalline Prophecy" to show up in FINAL FANTASY XI after purchase. It is recommended that if you are considering a purchase of "A Crystalline Prophecy," you do so before the version update.

Now doesn't SE think that we already know this. I for one was expecting it as I always do from any other update. This way, if it goes quickly then I'm shocked and amazed by the good turn of events. But I'm glad they took the time to give us a warning.
