Roubaix, France - 13 March 2009 – the online video game DOFUS, developed by ANKAMA, has just beaten two new records as of Sunday 8 March: 700,000 players connected over the day and 175,000 connected simultaneously at 6pm!

DOFUS, the immensely successful online video game, which is available in 7 languages and played in 150 countries, has just beaten two new records. Thanks to the loyalty of its fans, the game has crossed the ‘700,000 in one day’ mark on Sunday 8 March, and another record was set at 6pm on that day – 175,000 simultaneously connected!

To allow even more players access to the game and to reduce waiting times for existing fans, ANKAMA will open a new server named Many on 13 March.

Many is Djaul’s most useful Xelor, and it’s not hard to see why – he can get even the most unwilling and hardened of spies to tell him their deepest secrets. Countless innocent bystanders have confessed to the most horrific crimes under the influence of Many’s well-honed clock hand and although he works hard, this time disciple enjoys every moment of it.

The latest records set by DOFUS echo the equally notable success of Wakfu the animated cartoon, which is drawing the crowds both on France 3 and on its official website. The most recent episode, ‘Le Sac de Ruel ’ attracted an audience of almost a million viewers (4+), of whom 350,000 were between the ages of 4 and 10.
