After a short delay Live Gamer, which is taking over transactions on the Station Exchange servers, is now live. Today George Scotto, Senior Director, Global Customer Service at Live Gamer, sent us this release announcement:

Live Gamer Exchange for Real Money Trading is Live for The Vox and The Bazaar servers on EverQuest(r) II.

Live Gamer Exchange is now available via the web at https://exchange.livegamer.com/eqii/ for The Vox and The Bazaar EverQuest II servers.

EverQuest II players with characters on The Vox or The Bazaar servers can begin transacting right away by going to https://exchange.livegamer.com/eqii/. If you would like to join in on the marketplace, and have not yet registered for Live Gamer, you can do so at https://exchange.livegamer.com/eqii/.

An in-game client will come on line in the future. Additional game titles from various publishers will also be added in the coming months. Check out https://exchange.livegamer.com/eqii/ for the latest developments as well as more information on the Live Gamer Exchange.

For those concerned about the SMS-capable mobile phone requirement, George tells Allakhazam, "The new registration flow does not require a mobile phone and we will not be sending temp passwords via SMS. Instead, we will be requiring PayPal for all users to bid, buy and sell and temp passwords will be sent via email to the email on file." People who did not activate their Live Gamer accounts because of the cell phone issue (or for any other reason) have been e-mailed the following announcement:

Thank you for attempting to activate your Live Gamer account! You are receiving this email from us because you have recently contacted us regarding issues in activating your Live Gamer account , or it has come to our attention that you may have encountered difficulties

1. Attempting to activate your Live Gamer account;
2. Completing your registration; or
3. That you dropped off from the system at some point during the process.

We apologize for any inconvenience. If you would like to activate your Live Gamer account at this time, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Go to the Live Gamer password recovery page at https://exchange.livegamer.com/eqii/forgot_password.php.

Step 2: Enter the User Name that you used when you created your Live Gamer account. The temporary password, that is associated with that User Name, will be emailed to you at the email address you provided at
registration. Once you have received your temporary password, proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Go to https://exchange.livegamer.com/eqii/login.php, or click on "Sign In" from https://exchange.livegamer.com/eqii.

Step 4: Enter your Live Gamer User Name and the temporary password you received via email and click on "Login."

Step 5: You will be directed to the "Account Sign-Up" page, where you will need to enter your Live Gamer User Name and temporary password. Once entered, you will be prompted to select and confirm a new password.

Step 6: You will then be routed to the Station Account linking page where you will need to enter your SOE Station Name and password and click "Submit."

Step 7: Once you complete the account linking, you can add your PayPal account in order to be able to bid, buy, and sell items.

Step 8: Enjoy the Live Gamer Exchange!
