Job and Battle System Adjustments

A number of job and battle system adjustments have been scheduled for the next version update.

New Magic and Job Abilities

A host of new magic and job abilities will be added to a number of jobs for the next version update. For example, teleport spells for the white mage, a warp spell for the black mage, sneak ninjutsu for the ninja, elemental spirit MP absorption ability for the summoner, and new automaton weapon skills for the puppetmaster.

 

Additions and adjustments are also in store for the two new jobs introduced in the Wings of the Goddess expansion.
For the dancer, adjustments will include shortened ability delay to six seconds for all waltzes used when trance is in effect. Adjustments for the scholar will see an increase in the maximum number of charges available for stratagems, and a reduction in charge time.

Apart from job abilities, new status-specific status icons will be also introduced to further enhance playability.

Shortened Immobility Duration

The issue whereby certain restoration magic causes the character to become temporarily immobile, will be addressed. Up until now, casting cure on a character immediately after they initiate the attack command will result in that character becoming unable to move until spellcasting is complete, even after they have assumed battle stance. This immobility duration will be reduced drastically with the next version update.

It surprises me how many people I see posting things about spirits getting aspir or enaspir. Why would a spirit need more MP?

They said they were making it possible to get MP from your spirits, which implies either that the SMN aspirs off them or there will be an ability similar to DRG's Spirit Link, only using MP instead of HP and with the amount healed going to the player, not the pet.

they make a new reefresh spell for rdm. They really need a new one for the higher lvls and not just as a merit spell but a spell that you need to buy or quest for.This will let the higher lvl players get more mp out of the Refresh spell in general. And maybe the Endark spell and Enlight spell for blm whm and rdm.

'For example' leads me to believe that these are just SOME of the update additions. Don't lose all hope, I'm pretty sure there's more in store for us; whether or not it's good stuff, remains to be seen.

Unless spirits get a potent en-Aspir, most of em still won't be worth using... Hopefully it won't be that horrid "elemental damage -> MP" mod.

I would've probably preferred them fixing the bug that causes Ward BPs to stop casting after the mob the avatar is currently engaged to dies.

I wonder if that Shortened Immobillity Duration will also get rid of the lock up when you cure some one right as they take a raise.

Other than that looks like some good stuff...but was kinda hopeing for more...I sure hope those arent all the new magics and JAs they are putting in.
