McD's UK CEO Blames Games (and others) for Obesity

Along with Jack Thompson, gamers may now have another enemy!

Chief executive of McDonald’s UK, Steve Easterbrook, has told "The Times UK":
“I don’t know who is to blame,” Mr Easterbrook says. “The issue of obesity is complex and is absolutely one our society is facing, there’s no denial about that, but if you break it down I think there’s an education piece: how can we better communicate to individuals the importance of a balanced diet and taking care of themselves? Then there’s a lifestyle element: there’s fewer green spaces and kids are sat home playing computer games on the TV when in the past they’d have been burning off energy outside.
There's no questioning that living healthy lifestyles is everyone's personal responsibility.  As is getting in your gaming time!  I don't think he expected such a backlash from gamers everywhere!  So remember kids, eat your wheaties, only order greens from McDonalds (watch the calories in that salad dressing), and log in the game of your choice!  Oh, and exercise will ya?  Denise Austin may be jumping on the bandwagon soon!
