Chron X 2 Beta News!

Chron X 2 news comes to us today from Darkened Sky Studios!
Darkened Sky Studios announced at its 2007 Chron X
Grand Championships that their re-imagining of Chron X, the original
online collectible card game, has reached its alpha milestone. Darkened
Sky plans to begin a closed beta period in March 2008, gradually
increasing its size leading up to an open beta period and release. This
milestone occurs seven months after principal development began on the
Web-based project, tentatively titled Chron X 2.

Chron X 2 will also support games of up to eight simultaneous players, a
first for the property. To accommodate additional players, several new
maps are under construction, including an expanded World map, an
expanded America map, and others. Available game modes include team
victory and free-for-all. Numerous cards' targeting rules will be
changed to support additional players, and new cards will be added to
facilitate team support actions like transferring resources or assets
from one teammate to another.
