Looks like PvP balancing has struck again as all 5 'clans' in Zu Online will be modified in a way to make them 'more equal in PvP (and more fun).' Sun Warriors will see their Enslave spells become uninterruptible as well as reduced duration and cooldown periods for Heavenshot and Heaven Hegemony. Swordmen will see a ranged buff for their ranged attacks and a they will have a higher base health. Bead Fairies will see the biggest buff of all with longer ranged attacks, a shorter cast time on Mighty Force, cooldown reductions on all of their Deity spells, and better bonuses for their pets. The Moonmaiden clan will see an upgrade to their deadly trap damage, and the Summoner clan will see Pure Malevolence reduce the casting time of more spells, and their debuff effects will be increased.

Over the last couple of months we've given you an exclusive look at all of the classes that exist within Zu Online. Today we end that with our look at the Summoner class. The Summoner is a different species in Zu Online. They are able to summon the ghosts from hell to fight for them and torture the enemies by poison and magical scrolls. This makes for a class that is arguably the most unique within the game.

The Summoner clan was founded by Master Defender. Because of their different way of training, the Summoner clan was ignored by the other clans and almost disappeared. Later, when the Summoner clan was led by Lord Daluo, the clan developed rapidly and soon became the second largest of the five clans. Blood Demon's strategy of destroying the 3 dimension disturbed the Summoner clan so they united with the other clans to defeat Blood Demon. However, Summoner also had their own intentions which were not known to the other clans.

Bead Fairy was closely connected with Swordsman. However, Zhaolan, the second Master of the clan, incorrectly thought that only by cutting the connection with Swordsman could the Bead Fairy Clan flourish. As a result, the two clans became estranged.

Shadow Taoist took Orchid as a hostage and demonized the disciples of Bead Fairy to eliminate the Bead Fairy clan. Under such a crisis, Orchid's sister, Lily, journeyed to the Holy City, united with Swordsman, and reoccupied Sky Lake

Bead Fairy belongs to a peaceful clan in Zu Online. They are very popular in the secondary world because of their ability to cure the injured and put enemies in a coma to defeat them without fighting.

The Swordsman Clan was the oldest and most influential among the clans in Zu Online. Whitebrow, the Chief of the Swordsman clan, experienced five disasters in dream and was awakened by the Tai Chi General before establishing the clan. Having noticing Blood Demon's treachery firsthand, Whitebrow went to another dimension to find a way to stop Blood Demon. Before long, he carved the Heaven Scripture on Magic Stone, describing a way to defeat Blood Demon. A battle between Gods and Devils for getting the Heaven Scripture broke out. From then on, to fight against Blood Demon had become the responsibility of every Swordsman.

Swordsman is one of the largest clans in the secondary world. They are good at long distance fighting. With the help of the Bead Fairy, they are able to take the most advantage of their sword fighting skills to fight against the enemies.

In Zu Online , Jingje, the Grand Master of the Moonmaiden clan, practiced in the South Sea for years. As a result, she left countless treasures in Zin Palace. However, the clan fought among itself for the treasures and the palace was filled with turbulence.

The Zin Twins, disciples of Jingje, made every effort to calm the clan and eventually the Moonmaiden Clan was reformed. However, the peace did not last long. Controlled by Blood Demon, the devil Yuan-Ti attacked Zin Palace. Realizing the danger, the Zin Twins ordered Wushan to lead the other disciples to refuge in the Desert City. Later, the disciples of Moonmaiden will lead all of the clans to return to Zin Palace to fight against the Blood Demon together.

Moonmaiden is quick and skillful in the secondary world. They can gain the initiatives using special magic abilities, such as trapping enemies and turning invisible to sneak up on their enemies.

Zu Online version 1.8.01 has been released today. You can run the client to update the game automatically, or you can download the patch here.

The new version includes a lot of updates, from the new level cap of 259 to a new instance and zones. Here's some more information sent to us by IGG:

In contrast with the previous version, there is a lot of new content in version 1.8.01, which will make the game even more fun. Boundary Hill, the second instance zone of Zu Online has been added. The monsters, especially the boss-level monsters in Boundary Hill are extremely tough, but they drop items that make it all worthwhile. Additionally, another two new high-level zones—Frozen Sea and Wei-Yang Palace have been added.

Long long ago, the Sun Warrior clan studied the Tantra on the North. At this time, the monster Dragon Lord brought incessant disasters on the people until Master Mind, the chief of Sun Warrior consumed all of his energies to seal the Dragon Lord in the temple. From then on, Clan Sun warrior had to move to Wan Mountain.

Thousands of years later, the Sun Warrior clan was divided. Flame Master took his disciples back to The North and resumed studying Tantra. Finally, he reformed the Sun Warrior.

After the battle between the Good and the Evil, Dragon Lord was revived. Sun Warrior trekked over a long distance to the Desert City in order to find out the secrets which were hidden in the Magic Rock to restraint Dragon Lord.

Sun Warriors, with their strong wills and iron bodies, is one of the strongest classes in Zu Online. If you engage in a fight against them, you’d better keep the distance for no one escapes from the fight unharmed.

Version 1.8.01 of Zu Online will be released this month, and the development team has revealed some of the update notes in anticipation.

The update will bump the level cap up to 259 and add the zones Wei-Yang Palace and Frozen Sea. Boundary Hill will also be added as a new instanced zone. A wealth of gameplay changes and bug fixes will be included, as well.

Ready for your first pet in Zu Online? Here's a handy guide to your first creature. 

1. Pet's growth

Pets need to eat to develop properly. When a pet's experience reaches a certain point, it will be able to level up. A pet can be mounted once it reaches level 40.

2. Pet's equipment

To be a strong pet, it should have good equipment to raise its attributes. As the pet's attributes are raised, its owner's attributes are also raised. Each pet has four equipment slots.

3. Pet's main attributes:

1) Aptitude: this determines the upper limit of the pet's attack power bonus, physical defense bonus, magic defense bonus, etc. As aptitude increases, the pet will become stronger.

2) Potential: Feeding a pet equippable items increases its potential. When its potential reaches a certain amount, it will learn a new spell.

3) Savvy: A pet's Savvy determines how many spells the pet can learn. Each pet can learn 8 spells at most. A pet's Savvy can be raised by eating Savvy Seeds which can be obtained through quests or purchased from the item mall.
