Voyage Century: Resources

We all know how important resources are, and VCO is no different!

In Voyage Century, there are 2 kinds of important resources that almost every player needs: timber and iron ore. In Voyage Century, it’s necessary to have a good ship which can not only help you travel freely around the world but also can help you to win a sea battle. However, building or upgrading a ship usually costs a lot of resources, including timber and iron ore, so it’s very common to see a large bunch of players collecting these 2 resources together.

Voyage Century: Now with more Rum!

Once apon a time in a place and time not so far away; Pirates got popular. Really popular. So much so that holidays like "Talk Like a Pirate Day" were born. It's no suprise that there have been a number of Pirate themed MMORPG's popping up in the last couple of years. Pirates of the Burning Sea, Pirates of the Caribbean and now, "Voyage Century". While VC isn't a new game by any means; it does remain one of the only Free-to-Play Pirate themed MMO's on the market.

We had the opportunity to sit down with Bill Lian, one of the Product Managers working on the title. In the interview we drank some rum, talked about Pirate Ships, and the unique Sea Battle System in Voyage Century. Enjoy!

Allakhazam : Thank you for dropping anchor to talk with us about Voyage Century. Would you care for some Rum?!?

Bill : Yes, please. Allakhazam is a wonderful wharf to Voyage Century and all other online games. I must drink to my heart's content this time.

Allakhazam : Please tell us a bit about Voyage Century.

Bill : Voyage Century is a free 3D nautical MMORPG from IGG that prides itself on its real world geography, historical design, and eye-catching graphics. Players are able to travel around the 5 continents and 7 oceans freely, and take part in both land battles and sea battles. There are tons of things for players to have fun with, such as guild battles, port battles, refining, fun-filled quests and events, and so on. If your guild owns a city, you can not only earn fortune and glory easily but also can use some functions to expel strangers to establish a kingdom that only belongs to your guild.

Voyage Century: 5 PK Features

Direct from IGG's Voyage Century , here are five features of the game's PK fighting systems. Learn them well, and you too can become a fierce fighter.

Feature 1: Sea Battle
Speaking of sea battles, we can't help but imagine the spectacular battle scene on the high seas, the fast sailing battle ships, the hundreds of water pillars made by errant cannonballs. In Voyage Century you can not only experience all of these, but can also hook and board your enemies' ships to experience the feeling of melee combat. In addition, you can also use a big ship to crush small ships. It's really fun to sink them without firing a single shot.

Feature 2: Land Battle
There are 4 basic land battle skills in Voyage Century. Falchion, Sword, Axe, and Spear. A large number of players like land battle because they can improve their stats and obtain advanced gear from big bosses. Furthermore, they can definitely show off their land battle skills when boarding enemies' ships.

Voyage Century Online: War, Combat, Trade

Starting out in a new game can always be frustrating and confusing. To help you get started in Voyage Century Online, IGG has posted a newbie's guide to war, combat, and trade.

We believe many rookies will be at their wits' end figuring out what must be done and how to realize quick character progress at the moment you start playing a MMORPG game. Now, the Voyage Century Online team is making fast progress even easier by tailor-making three progress routes to get you off to a good start.

Ships in VCO usually fall into three main categories, Warship, Raider and Merchant Ship. Warships boast extraordinary performance in naval combat due to the extensive Gun Emplacement they have. Raiders sail at a high speed with the most sailors on board. They are an excellent choice for close combat. Merchant Ships are for trade. When looking at a ship's health, Merchant Ships have the most HP, Warship second most and Raiders have the least. However, the population of sailors on Raiders is the highest. Warships are staffed by fewer sailors, and Merchant Ships have the fewest. So, depending on your preferred style of play, practical strategies can be worked out for any of these 3 classes of ships.

Voyage Century Online: Sea Mermaid, the Storm Kill

Voyage Century Online: Sea Mermaid, the Storm Killer

IGG has some good news for VCO players. The Sea Mermaid will make its debut in the update of Voyage Century Online-Colony Age. From now on, players can brave any storm in their way because the Sea Mermaid is the storm killer.

Storm Killing + Auto Track=Safety

In the Colony Age instance, the VCO team offers its players the auto track function which can be used to facilitate treasure hunting. When players are sailing on the sea to detect where the treasure is hidden, it is a risky little game for them if they meet an unexpected storm. Ship wreckage can not only cause serious property loss but even endanger their lives.

Now things are different. Players will benefit from the Sea Mermaid. The Sea Mermaid and Auto Track functioning together will build an impregnable protection for players to set sail and conquer the sea.

VCO Players' Gear In Danger!

VCO players, be aware, there's some serious danger to your gear!

Until IGG is finished looking at data and evidence of continued exploit problems it is advised players stay alert to the fact that you have others ( most likely alt of recent suspended player) who are using methods to have you drop. At this time you can NOT be afk and not protected.. you should be using a Guardian -magic pellet or item lock. Or simply be aware . Igg must collect data to see if this new method can be patched out of game . Until then protect yourself and your equipment.

I suggest you discuss this matter if you are a VIP with your rep . And others I suggest E-mail IGG re this issue . The more information and input the faster a solution can be found.

If you aren't sure your gear is safe - don't play until you are!  As soon as a solution is found, we'll let you know.

Voyage Century: Player-Oriented Design

Everyone likes their gaming more streamlined and less repetitive clicking, right? I mean, an entire industry of bots and mods has sprung up around this desire. Voyage Century knows this is what you want, and today is giving a preview of two practical, time saving functions: auto-look, and auto-recovery.

Automation may not be good for the economy, or all those factory jobs lost to robots, but it sure can make life simpler in game. As you probably know, the auto-track function in Colony Age has brought players some much needed convenience. However it's just the tip of the iceberg. Today the Voyage Century team is going to talk to you about 2 more practical functions, auto-loot and auto-recovery.

With the auto-loot and auto-recovery functions, you will save a lot of time and energy, because you actually don't need to click on everything and worry about the status of your character. Just enjoy questing, sailing or PvP.

Around the World in 80 Days - Or Less

Ready to travel? Pack your bags, and let Voyage Century Online take you around the world!

Is it true it takes 80 days to travel around the world? Definitely, not! Since Colony Age was launched, VCO has had the Around the World function available to speed up this tedious process.

Supported by the Around the World system, players can travel to different countries while also getting nice rewards. The newly added auto-track and embedded e-book functions will help to reduce playing difficulty.

How long does it take to travel around the world? How many countries can you visit? What kinds of prizes and how many badges are rewarded? These questions will be answered only when players complete their world expeditions. At the moment players pride themselves on the short time they spend traveling around the world, and showing off their 17th World Expedition Certificate, gems, refined items and various Change Charms, but now is the time to call them Great Explorers in Voyage Century Online.
