Assassin's Creed Syndicate Revealed

Ubisoft held a premiere event this afternoon showing off the latest Assassin's Creed—what was once codenamed Victory, and is officially called Syndicate. The series takes a step toward modern times as it's set around the boroughs of London in 1868. In the Victorian Era during the height of the Industrial Revolution the world is seeing a transition to transportation, an increase in productivity, and a shift to being ruled by science and money, as opposed to kings and religion.

In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate you’ll play as Jacob Frye, an assassin born and bred poised to take over the criminal underworld of London during the Industrial Revolution. Amidst blossoming conflicts between newly crowned kings of industry and the working class they exploit for all they’re worth, Jacob will work in the shadows as he climbs to the top of the criminal underground as the head of one of the city’s most notorious street gangs.

Assassin's Creed Victory -- Potential Release Date

Despite a leak floating around since early December about the next Assassin's Creed title being set in Victorian London, Ubisoft has yet to do give out any information other than confirming that Assassin's Creed: Victory actually exists.

Earlier today, we received an email blast regarding the Guiness World Records 2015 Gamer's Edition (you can buy the book here, by the way). What turned into the most interesting part of the email caught our eye near the bottom:

Yes, that's what it says: "Assassin's Creed: Victory is expected to release Summer 2015."

At the time of this writing, we haven't received confirmation on this time frame. It does seem like it's too close to the AC Unity release, but we'll reserve full judgement until we get more information.

Ubisoft Offers Apologies and Freebies for AC Unity

In a welcome move, publishing powerhouse Ubisoft has stepped forward to publicly announce the company's apologetic stance about the delivery state for Assassin's Creed: Unity. They did more than just offer vapid responses to the masses—there's a gift everyone will receive to bring more people on the Unity bandwagon even after the barrage of bug fixes. CEO of Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto, Yanis Mallat, commented recently on the Ubisoft site:

Assassin's Creed Unity: Game Resolution Explained

Following Senior Producer Vincent Pontbriand's confirmation to VideoGamer.com earlier this week that Assassin's Creed Unity will run at 900p and 30fps on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Ubisoft released a clarification explaining more in depth how they came to the decision to lock at that resolution.

The Crew: Delayed Until December

Ever since we played in the Beta, we've been eagerly awaiting The Crew from Ubisoft and Ivory Tower. Launch should've been five weeks from now. Instead, we're two months away– a small three-week push to December 2nd. What happened?

Well, Ubisoft & co. want to play it safe by polishing the game based on Beta feedback:
