E3 Video Interview With TERA Producer Brian Knox

Some great information coming out of E3, especially for fans of TERA, as Mike B. got the chance to chat it up with TERA Producer Brian Knox to chat about some of the community concerns over TERA and some other features that we haven't heard much about. In this video interview, Brian confirms that PvP will be very well supported by the TERA team, including Guild vs. Guild battlegrounds and a very interesting dueling system that can have single players or groups of players fighting against each other, as well as having the ability to make wagers!

Brian also talks about traveling in the world of TERA and how the team wanted to focus on getting players to where they want to go as fast as possible, without forcing them to constantly take the long, scenic route every time. As well, he confirms that TERA will launch with three continents for players to explore, as well as one continent "shrouded in mystery," or, in other words, grounds ripe for a first expansion. Mike B. then pops in some great community questions, like TERA's endgame system, how TERA plans to be a "westernized" MMORPG from the very beginning, and what's next to come for TERA. Check it all out in our video interview after the jump!

E3 War40K Video Chat: Vigil Games' David Adams

The new Warhammer 40K: Dark Millennium Online video trailer generated some serious heat at E3 in Los Angeles this week, leaving fan communities around the world pumped for more details about the upcoming MMO. Earlier today, ZAM's Mike B. (a.k.a. "Fony") caught up with Vigil Games general manager David Adams on the expo floor to ask him about what we saw in the recent trailer.

Mike B. asks Adams what kind of gameplay we can expect in the upcoming MMO (something that's been on everyone's mind since watching the trailer, which appears to feature an action-oriented combat sequence mixed with "traditional" MMORPG gameplay). He also asks how the developers at Virgil Games plan to satisfy the legions of Games Workshop fans out there, who expect a faithful representation of the original Warhammer 40K tabletop game. Check out the video interview after the jump, and keep an eye out for more of ZAM's E3 coverage throughout the day.

Black Prophecy Extended Video Trailer From E3

It's been a while since we've heard anything new about Black Prophecy, the upcoming sci-fi shooter MMO from Reakktor Media. In March, the developers finally signed a publishing deal with Gamigo, with the surprising announcement that it will be a free-to-play MMO. After limited beta testing kicked off in May, news was relatively quiet for a month, until this week at the E3 expo in Los Angeles.

Reakktor and Gamigo just released a new Black Prophecy trailer; it's more than two minutes long and features a ton of great gameplay footage. The video shows off the MMO's unique "modular build system," which players use to customize their ship's "class" and function. You can also see what it's like to interact with the mission UI and read some of the singe-player and team mission descriptions, if you watch the high-res version of the video. If you've been itching to see more ship combat, there are several PvP dogfight sequences as well. Check out the full Black Prophecy trailer from E3 after the jump!

PWE will be developing new MMO, "Swordsman Online"

Just today, Perfect World Entertainment revealed details about the new MMORPG they were in the process of developing, currently titled (although this is a working title!) "Swordsman Online." Based on the hit Chinese book series, Swordsman Online "aims to bring Louis Cha's popular martial arts novel to a whole new audience." The Perfect World Team will be at E3 debuting the brand new trailer for Swordsman Online, so if you're in the area, you should check out their booth in the West Hall at Booth #5112.

GamersFirst to publish new MMOFPS: "MKZ"

Yet another F2P MMOFPS will be making its way to North American markets in the Fall of 2010 as GamersFirst, the publishers of the popular multi-unit MMORPG, Sword of the New World (recently renamed "Sword 2") have announced at E3 that they will be partnering up with Object Software to release a new MMOFPS, "MKZ" to all of North America.

This new MMOFPS will feature modern weapons, vehicles and aircraft (that's right, aircraft!) to be used in combat in large-scale massively multiplayer first-person shooter action. The storyline of MKZ will center around that age-old storyline of Corporate Warfare and privately funded militaries duking it out for world domination, although MKZ will be the first MMOFPS in the free-to-play market to utilize vehicles. We'll keep you updated as GamersFirst reveals more information about this three-letter MMOFPS!
