Been a lot less (none, I think) Dany topless scenes this season.

Oberyn is even better than in the books. The actor really does a perfect job with him.

I read something last season that said she is done doing nudes. I didn't believe it, but maybe it's true.

I remember reading a bit about her popularity causing a photography stir on a broadway show she appeared nude in. (NSFW, not because it shows anything, but just the subject matter, probably).

Also, has Emilia Clarke lost weight? Or tried to? Not that she was fat, just had a... softness, I guess? Maybe it's just cause we haven't seen her bare hips this season.

Edit:
Google did show up that she said she didn't want nude scenes anymore, also pointed out the meeting with Daario in the tub last season was her last one. I thought that one was so odd. She was sitting in the tub, nude, but sitting just right so that her nipples were sitting just above the surface of the water the entire time. They just seemed so out of place. Not the nipples, of course, they were where they were supposed to be, just how they were purposefully kept just above the surface of the water during the whole conversation.

I noticed that too, the weight loss. Her shoulders look bonier or something. She didn't need to lose weight, but I guess the Hollywood machine got to her anyway.

Irrational? I'd think having half of ones face burnt off in a fire is a very rational fear.

Is it really a necessary spoiler if it was revealed in like... Season 1 of the series? (Pretty sure they did...)

Yes. The whole scene was about the Hounds unwillingness to let Arya treat his wound because of his fear of fire. That's irrational.

Justified fear - yes perhaps, but rational - no.

And for whomever questioned the spoiler tags, better safe than sorry. I was talking about a scene from the show that had only aired the night before. If people hadn't yet watched the episode, they might not want to know what transpired. Also, I've been slapped for NOT using spoilers.

Sure. But the bit in question didn't reveal anything major that might be remotely considered a spoiler. It was just reinforcement of an existing and known character trait (well, except when he gets an infection and his head falls off of course). Now, if you had let slip that whole bit about Dany flying on a dragon to King's Landing and having a wild sexual tryst with Tyrion before proclaiming the two of them king and queen of the realm(s), *that* would require a spoiler tag.

Ooops!

I am sad now. I really liked Oberyn. Did not give a F on the red wedding. Did not care when they snuffed Ned, But I really liked Oberyn * sniffle

The battle played out just a bit differently than in the books, regardless one knew what the outcome would be...had to be for this story to be told. Still as I was watching it, I kept thinking maybe GRRM had a change of plot-line and leaves Oberyn alive.
I didn't need to see the exploding head.

Am I the only one majorly disappointed with the fight? So many cuts to cover up their lackluster choreographie. The scene as a whole was really good. But when two of Westeros' finest battle, I'd like to see what they are capable of. Not just the beginning of a move CUT Tyrions face CUT the ending of said move from another angle.

Also, too much Daenerys and no Stannis at all. Booo!

Still liked the episode.

These sudden deaths of newly introduced protagonists are getting old. Oberyn was cool. I felt for the guy and his loss. I thought for sure he was going to win the fight (haven't read the books), but then GRRM pulls another "nyah nyah, you can't have it" twist and gruesome death ensues. I'm tired of all the good guys dying.

Daenerys portion had boobies and dat *** in it, so no complaints here.

Technically, you didn't. They showed the before and the after, but cut away quickly for the actual pop. It's one of those little camera tricks that gets used to imply far more violence than they actually show.

Btw, what was that thing hanging from Sansa's neck when she went goth?

Looked like some kind of buckle and chain. Symbolism??

Technically only the Viper was an elite warrior. The Mountain is ok but mainly gets by on being ridiculously strong, being able to wear armor so thick a normal man couldn't move let alone fight in. Also wielding a two handed sword in one hand giving him reach, while simultaneously carrying a huge oaken shield (shield was left outta the show). He wins by brute force. Be like saying a guy who brought a gun to a knife fight is a great fighter.

Haven't read the books, but I'll take a stab at it. Assuming the Mountain is actually dead then who "won" the fight would depend on the rules of such contests. Technically, Oberyn dealt a killing blow to the Mountain first (with no doubt to that fact given that he could not have dealt any blow *after* having his head squished like a grape), so given that both died in the ring, he may actually be considered the victor after all. Of course, assuming the Mountain is actually dead and GRRM doesn't decide to do some nutty shift like ninja assassins taking everyone out to revenge their prince's death or something. Cause... GRRM.

Oh. And absolutely loved Arya's laughter. It was perfect. I was actually thinking how crazy that just as she seems like she can finally get "home" to someone in her family, they up and die. It's becoming a theme. And frankly, I think she's finally gone around the bend. Which can only be a good thing!

I paused it on the DVR (cause I had to take a closer look, for um... scientific reasons), and Sansa's necklace was more like one of those open buckles used for attaching clothing wrapped around the body (just a circle with a crossbar). It had a chain attached around one part of the circle, which ran up around her neck, and was run back through the other side of the circle and hung down from there. So definitely a gothish kind of thing. Interesting direction with that character too. She's finally getting in the game I suppose. Not sure if that direction will work for her, but who knows?

Looked kind of like a large choke chain collar... BDSM Sansa?

Actress is 18 now, right?

Actually, Gregor survived his wounds, but the blade that Oberyn used was poisoned with something that causes extreme pain. With the prince of Dorne dead, relations with the Dornish are going to go downhill quickly, so Tywin has the Maesters doing everything they can to keep Gregor alive in order to be able to execute him later for the killings of Elyah and her children.

Seriously, don't read this bit if you don't know or don't want to know what's going to happen.Jamie forces Varus to help Tyrion escape, but before Tyrion leaves the city, he has Varus take him through a secret passage that leads to his father's quarters in the Tower of the Hand. It's night at the time, and Tyrion comes out through a hidden opening behind the fire place. He finds Shae in his father's bed, kills her, then heads down to the privy with a crossbow that he took off of a wall display and uses it to kill Tywin. Tyrion, then escapes across the Narrow Sea, where his storyline gets much less interesting. With Tywin dead, Cersei is more or less in charge of the kingdom, and does a pretty terrible job of it.

Does Jamie actually force Varus or is he just there? I seem to remember Varus doing this because he "unfortunately remembers everything" and is doing this because if not for Tyrion the city would of fell during the battle of the blackwater.

Actually I remember this was planned, since Varus disguises himself as a goaler and later when his room is searched they find a highgarden coin. Which is used to further progress Varus' agenda.
