I'd be more impressed if there was five feet of snow on the ground and Hannah hooked up the caribou harness to get to school. Staying home (and not even shoveling!) is for the weak.

I see you've bought into that "work ethic" thing the ruling class peddles. Excellent, excellent. Back to your job to earn someone else 5 times your salary, hurry along now! It'll make you noble and stuff. :)

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Sounds like slacker talk from someone who can't hack the snow to me.

Here's my snow gripe for the day....

The mountain-sized snowbanks on every street corner are blocking views.

You clearly don't understand the protocol, when you can't see you very slowly pull out into the middle of the street and look both ways for 15 minutes before progressing when someone honks a horn at you.

Or just keep spraying hairspray until you melt the ozone.

You're talking New England; Every solution has to include duct tape.

It's not a real solution without WD40 AND duct tape.

Here's one more thing we might be talking about, if the forum wasn't dead. US Army deletes tweet after accusations of racism, only to provoke more anger. Political Correctness gone mad and all that.

If you want to talk about political correctness in overdrive, check out this silliness. For those too lazy to click the link, it's a show about the horrifying repercussions of someone slapping someone else's kid for being a brat.

The tweet: Chinks in special ops digital and physical armor pose challenge.

In this context that could easily be mistook as meaning people of Chinese persuasion. It's poorly written a statement.

So the army changes it up. No big deal eh. A poorly worded sentence that could offend was removed. The article points out the outrage ensued, not because the poor word usage was called to the attention of the author, but when they actually retracted the statement. Smiley: lol

I'd say it's the politically incorrectness gone mad.

I saw many of the outraged tweets(someone put together a pic of a bunch of them). Trust me, it was political correctness gone mad.

Edit: It could be both, I suppose. Though I suspect it's the "insane" definition of mad in the case of those outraged by the "offensiveness" of the statement while likely the "angry" definition of mad for people upset that they changed it.

Did you make this post because the army used the word 'chink' or are you commenting because the usage offended someone?

edit: apparently Google isn't going to make the same mistake as the army.
