Comes out tomorrow (for NA at least, idk about EU). There's a prepatch available for download on the eShop, though I'm not sure if it's mandatory or what. Who all is getting it, and do I have your FC?

I have been considering it but I am sort of broke at the moment. Probably should wait till next friday.

Since I'm cancelling my FFXI subscription it should be more affordable... ha ha

I'll be getting the WiiU version as I have no interest in the 3DS one. Also the 3DS version has led to some broken 3DS gamepads.

Some of those 3DS consoles look beat up and worn out... I doubt it was the game that lead to those things breaking off.

I just picked up my 3DS XL to look at it and that slide pad is solid, I can't see how that thing is breaking off or being damaged through normal use.

Of course, my friend in high school would go crazy with Mario Party on the Gamecube, and any mini game that involved rotating the analog, he would put his palm on it and go as fast as he could it short circles. He didn't break the Gamecube stick, but he did burn a hole in the center of his hand because of the friction.

yeah I don't see myself playing that vigorously.

I am so so on the 3DS version but then again I carry the thing everywhere and game on it more than anything else so it makes sense to get it.

Also if I get it for wii u and 3ds I will get a soundtrack CD and this actually adds enough temptation to push me over the edge.

AND... holy **** I didn't realize but I had the digital deluxe wii u set so I have 25 dollars in eshop credit from purchases I've made .. WOOT. So that's totally going towards smash.

(also dear god, have I actually spent that much money on the eshop? ohh part of that was I got full points for the legend of zelda game I got for free with mario kart... but still)

I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for you guys. Cheers.

I bought it for the 3DS, but have absolutely no clue what I'm doing. I didn't play the first one so this seems ridiculously complicated. Although I can see how it would be a lot of fun if I knew what the heck was going on.

Unfortunately on 3DS you still have to use FCs. Mine is 3196-3542-0958. If you've never played a Smash game before I can see this being very overwhelming... good luck!

I got my soundtrack in the mail the other day. I haven't played it yet to see how the quality is. It's a single jewel case, with a two sided insert to hold the two disks.
