Is there an elemental summoner?Follow

I play a magician on EQ and am planning to give EQ2 a shot (if my laptop will run it) but i'm looking through the classes and can't decide what my mage equivalent class would be. I love my EQ mage's high DPS spells and elemental summons, is there a summoner of this kind in EQ2?

Not sure, but I think Conjuror would be the closest class to what you want.

Thanks, I just got it downloaded before I had to go to work, so i'll create a conjurer when I get off and see if I like it :)

Now looking at the class list again I'm not sure how I missed conjuror, it's kind of obvious. Hope his attack spells are as good as my EQ mage.

Also look into necromancer they get a fighter pet, assassin pet, priest pet and a mage pet. if you buy the Age of Discovery expansion you then can use the beastlord class which is what they had in the first EQ. I know these are not elemental but they do have something the summon to fight for them.
