Is SoE down? myself and a few of my guildies have been trying to get in game and get a error message when we do the launcher? I have tried other Soney games and their web sites and they say cant connect.

About three hours ago I couldn't connect to the forum but was playing the game. Then I played something else for a while and now that I want to go back to the game I can't get in, and still can't connect to the forum. The message I get on the launcher is:
and lots more of the same.
I'm in the UK.

I couldn't get the patcher to work, so I rebooted my computer. Then it worked, I got in and played for about 15 minutes and lost my connection, now the patcher won't respond when I hit play. 
Rebooting worked for me as well for the patcher and I've been okay since.
SOE has said they're having DNS issues (which is why their forums aren't loading) and they're working to resolve them.

Thanks for posting this. I REALLY wish SOE would have put something up on the main EverQuest II page. Telling us the servers are up is pointless if we cannot connect to them...

I am unable to get into the game. I get the error message. Forums are also unavailable. I rebooted. The game won't patch. No idea what I should do at this point.

I rebooted several times and tried from two different computers before posting here last night. I also tried, without success, to trace a route to the forum, although I could reach soe.com. In any event, the game and forum are now both working again.

They do have a maintenance at 7am PST this morning but that sounds like it'll mostly affect account management and marketplace purchases.
