Provisioner QuestionFollow

Is it worth it to do the Provisioner profession for any toon as first profession? Ask that because to me it seems more beneficial to do sage for casters, alchy for warriors, or jeweler for scouts...just for ability upgrades? I see that it seems cool to have just for health and mana regen and stat bonuses are great too..plus you get a high duration on food. Seems like it would be a good profession.

Provisioner is a good profession for pretty much anyone. Make your own food and it sells good, too. I have 2, and both of them are higher than their adventure levels because I make extra food to sell. If you go with sage, jeweler, etc., to make your own spell upgrades, you have to make sure that your tradeskill level is always right at your adventure level or higher and I always find that a little bit harder. I'm not one that can sit and grind writs for hours on end. And making spell upgrades to sell on the broker isn't that profitable anymore. I've made some that have been sitting there for months.
