A few comments on the log parser:

Currently, Lucy 2 will:
- collect item link codes and the name of the mob that dropped it
- collects the location that the mob died (giving us a general idea of where to find it... this is not USED yet but the data is collected)
- collects zone names and adds the zone if not found in the db
- collects mob names and adds them if not found in the db (this does NOT include level, race or location info!)

Devs are working on:
- collecting faction modification messages by mob
- double-checking capitalization of mobs that already exist in the db
- double-checking capitalization of zones that already exist in the db
- double-checking capitalization of quests that already exist in the db

What Lucy2 does NOT do:
- collect monster race and level (that info is not in the logs)
- add the user name who submitted it to new records added to mob and zone (this may change, soon)
- add items to the db. If the item does not exist yet, that item info is lost.

I was so excited when I found out there was a Lucy 2, but then there was sadness...

It doesn't seem to pick up the information from any of my active characters which are all on Nagafen. I'm guessing it has to do with that being a pvp server. Are there any plans to make it work on pvp servers?

Sorry so long to answer, haven't used Lucy2 in a while.

Yes I did make sure I have the updated .net files 3.5 in fact. The Lucy 2 now keeps giving an error when it puts together the information at the end.

Event Type: clr20r3
P1: lucy2.exe
P2: 1.0.2909.30622
P3: 4769948c
P4: system.web.services
P5: 2.0.0.0
P6: 471ebf74
P7: b3
P8: 0
P9: system.invalidoperationexception

Almost the same as the error I got last time. I went over the install instructions again. I'll try uninstalling it and putting it back in to see if it works.

EDIT: Okay, I un and then re-installed Lucy. I still get the error in the same spot but as I watched the text go by, the window didn't close. It got up to saying the information was sent. So .. I can't tell if it was or not.

The application doesn't close by itself, if you got the info sent message at the end, you're good to go. But I'll pass your error messages on.

I stumbled on this today and was wondering if it is still being used and/or updated.

I tried it out and get a slew of errors and faliures to connect or upload the data.

I cannot find any posts when Googling what could be wrong or if this was discontinued. Thanks.

I don't know how long Lucy2 has been out of use, but it's been at the least a few years. Going to lock down this thread to prevent future confusion. :)
