Here are some of my pet peeves...

- Stuns (+ spinning around after a stun)
- Fizzles
- Resists
- Melee misses
- Buff stacking (lack of)
- Immune mobs (slows, snares etc)
- Immune zones (Call of the Hero)
- Zoning (another time sink)
- Low population (nobody to group with)
- Useless newbie areas (Freeport, Qeynos etc)
- Raids
- Server merges
- Log-in issues
- Maintenance
- Dev communication
- No official data parser
- Daybreak Cash (non-transferable, non-refundable, non-giftable, no PP, krono, expansions)
- Mercs (more automation)
- Boxxing (anti-social)
- /pick
- Instanced zones
- Quests
- RP issues (no gender specific traits or gender specific loot)
- Consistency issues / political correctness (small females are as strong as their bigger male counterparts)
- No official or permanently Classic servers (Classic, Classic + Kunark)
- Bazaar (I used to love trading in the West Commonlands - the bazaar automates everything making us less social)
- Find (makes us stupid and less social)
- F2P (we should live in a world where everybody can easily afford the sub if they want to play)
- Pay to win (the richest have more fun in Norrath with their real world $)
- A constantly evolving and expanding world owned an operated by people who don't even play it solely for profit (unusustainable, impractical, selfish, wasteful, doomed to fail in the long term)

Here are some things I like...

- Runs on old hardware
- Uses very little bandwidth
- Nostalgia (magical first experience)
- Progression servers (as long as they're time locked rather than unlocked by uber guilds)
- Camping something and finally getting it
- Character development (increase in power and utility)
- Escapism (in theory become an immortal hero in charge of your own destiny instead of being a mortal loser controlled by other mortal losers)
- Dinging and buying new spells
- The people who know a lot about the game (I respect that)
- Old world zones
- The friendly helpful people I've spoken to and grouped with over the years

You got a lot of pet peeves!

Raids? Why is that a pet peeve? You either raid or you don't? Seriously curious...

A lot of your peeves come down to how YOU handle the situation.

For example: - Pay to win (the richest have more fun in Norrath with their real world $)

You make your own fun. I've known many a player who thoroughly enjoys the game and, according to them, they've never spent a dime beyond their monthly sub. Some are F2P even, but I do concede that subbing enhances everybody's "fun", at some point, even if just for simple stuff like joining general chat and being able to set up a bazaar mule.

It bothers you that female toons are as strong as male toons? They already vary stats by race, which is realistic. It doesn't bother me that a female warrior can melee as well as male warrior of the same race. It's challenging enough to get women to play MMO's, and their involvement is a plus to the game world in many ways. I doubt many women would want to play if they were "crippled" from birth in terms of game mechanics due to their character's gender. I don't even get why this bothers you. There are tons of aspects of the game which are unrealistic, even if you don't consider PC issues. It's a game after al!

My biggest peeve is that when I'm in auto-run, say to cross a huge zone, and I go for a minute to take a leak, I return and find my toon stuck behind a blade of grass! A BLADE OF GRASS! That bothers me a LOT more than a female tank being as capable as a male tank, which actually bothers me not at all!

It's a game, meant for fun, not realism. If you want total realism, then Iksars would be near invincible in desert zones and barely mobile in freezing zones. No fun in that.....

I like some dude getting mad about women not having issues physically in a game that's existed for over 20 years.

It does kinda bother me that a gnome can TANK an ogre.

Also that any race can TANK a dragon. Or even a GIANT. I mean, do they kneecap the giant to death? Do they kill the dragon by breaking one of their claws?

Yeah, I get that they're belly casters so in theory the tank is right up pressed against their belly and presumably stabbing and slashing at vital dragon organs, like the flame-generating whatsis gland (I just made that up and claim the TM) but, still, dragons aren't stupid animals and we'd have to presume they'd back off and flame-breath the annoying tank that's tickling their tummies.

Yeah, all this is very very unrealistic... but I love it anyway!!

There's only 1 newbie zone now (OK 2, if you count Gloomingdeep) and that's Crescent Reach. Starting in any of the older starting cities after you leave tutorial is going to put you at a big disadvantage because the loot drops and quests in the zones around CR are better than in the older newbie zones. Gearing yourself for high level content in the old world will cripple your character and be a huge waste of time that could be better spent working through later expansions. You can bypass probably at least 95% of all content released prior to Prophecy of Ro by starting in CR. Even the Defiant gear makes just about everything that you could pick up in old content obsolete, so there are few reasons to go back. Starting in CR also increases your odds of being able to find groups because almost nobody spends much time in the older expansions anymore. Maybe someone might go there to do Epic 1.0 or get some other piece of gear that has no modern equivalent or maybe to pick up keys or flags that they might need but apart from that, there's no reason to spend a whole lot of time there anymore.
