9 AM CST, Povar, I rode Sirensbane from Erudin to South Qeynos. Unfortunately, when I got to Qeynos the boat turned into a human and plunked me into the water. Maybe they're in the process of fixing the boats?

Heh, well they have changed this. The boat still turns into a human but now you are stuck in midair and you can't move. Only way out is to gate. Rewind won't even help. Though the boat from Eruding Crossing to Erudin works just fine. :)
You cant attack the boat NOW.. but there was a time that you actually could. I do not know how long it lasted where you could, but a friend of my sons while over one day years ago managed to agro the boat. The boat was hitting him for 30's and relentless. My son's friend couldn't reattack the boat for some reason but the boat was wearing him down so he eventually had to jump off..

The boat can (or atleast was able) to be instill doubted. Don't know if it can be but I have seen it done. Some loser(my friend) sat on the boat for a few hours using instill doubt(max skill) and landed it once.
you cant attack a boat, however there was a patch semi-recently becuase bard attack songs, aoe ones i believe, were effective.

Yesterday the boat wasn't coming to the Mountains either one did who killed them!!!!!

Hey everyone i have played Eq for 2 years now andi have fought ever monster in the game but most deefinatly the hardest had to be either kraken (which i cant seem to beat) or Karafym the undead dragon (which totaly hand me my ***) but the thing im trying to say is dont waste time one weakling such as sirensbane go after the undefeated charaters succh as kraken , karafym, meyoung mistmore if i ever see someone have proof of beating them i will give them anything in game they want find me on tribunal or ralous zek

Im stuck on an island with these things.The ships pass through the islands I cant find out how to get off the island.The guy i was here with said that there was a hole on the side of the boat and i had to swim trough there i tryed 10 times but no luck my bind is in free port.Can someone please help me

Head strait for the into the hull of the ship and look up, and you will go into the bar place below the deck.

Just a little warning - don't pull your corpse from the dock onto the boat in the hope of looting it there. You will find that you are unable to loot you stuff and then when you zone your corpse will fall through the world and you have to petition to get it back.

Tee Hee!! I did this too. Very frustrating because I had to convice the GM to TP me back to the dock after I went back to retrieve my corpse (without enduring Breath), realized that I wouldn't make it and swam back to the Siren rock. I was marooned!! The Professor and Mary Ann (two Aqua Goblins) were all there too, so at least I had company.

Why are the various boats all level 50? Seems to me the big ocean-going ships should be higher than the rowboats you find here and there. The little jonboat in Crushbone could be level 10, say, and the inter-island skiffs in OOT could be 30, leaving the 50th level for the big windjammers.
Why level 50? Can a level 51 mob beat a boat? Can a level 50 boat beat a level 49 warrior?

If you can ride this NPC, then maybe riding dragons and other NPC's is possible...

The ship moves so it's implemented as an NPC. Get over it!

When ya con it it says "youy cant consider that" an ya cant attack it, but the wierd thing is, if yer lookin' fer somethin' ta do on the boat ya can actually practice begging for it. never got anything but it didnt say i couldnt...

Maybe if u kill the fire elemental u kill the boat or it just keeps sending them out at you. You just have to be on the boat click and press the a button for it to cast a fire elemental. This is not a good idea to try and kill a boat because If you die you have to retreive your body from the bottom of the ocean. It;s stradedgy Is to knock you off of it and then pummel yoiu till u die. They almost have artificial intelligence

So, given that you've put a level on this does that mean that a ship can actually be sunk? I know you can target a ship but never tried conning one or attacking it. Do they fight back? If so, how? Lauching oars at you or dropping anchors on your head? Gonna have to try it. I know I can swim faster than them as it is, hehe.
