A better person to use find on is Yiem Rynawu the necromancer spell merchant. They are on the same level and across the hall. Mage spell merchant is on the next level up.
Today, 4/11/2012, I got all 4 pieces of the maps required to be handed back in to Shav. She gave them all back to me... seems this part of the quest is broken at this time. Any word as to when it will be fixed would be appreciated. I would like to finish the 1.5 and complete the 2.0 ASAP... and this part of the quest is necessary to complete in order to go on from here.
Any time frame would be helpful, thanks...

For those that prefer directions: As you magus into Abysmal, open the door and take the short flight of steps down to your left (south east) toward the dwarf lady 'Malandra Stonegrin'. Go down the flight of steps beside her (south). Take a left (east) past Svacar Hewin, a left again (north) beside barny magmilg, and enter the door back into the ship. Take the second door on your right (east) and you'll see Shav the Cryptologist straight in front of you.
Great directions above except that Svacar moves! LOL
Abysmal Sea is literally the zone from Hell when it comes to finding stuff. I can't believe any quest would require finding anything in this zone. You could not make a zone harder to navigate if you tried. My blood pressure goes up 100 points (both systolic and diastolic) every time I even READ that I need to go to Abysmal Sea for something. And it doesn't even help to have tracking, heck it makes it even worse because of all the walls and doors. I can know some NPC is within hailing distance yet there's a wall between us and I can't find any way around it.
Seriously, not a well-designed zone unless the designer INTENDED players to go thru hell to find what they want. THEN he did a SUPERB job! LOL
