Cleared path to zone in ( from SL ) I pulled him with a debuff and ran to zone in, up the ramp and had no adds at all.

The way to do it, with no mess: clear path to entrance, then pull named there.
Maybe the adds (at least 2) will come, but if you can FD you may get the named alone.
Named goes down fast.

His assist call goes through walls/floors. Had 3 adds come from fairly far away.
